Psalms 96

A Call to Praise the King

1 Sing to the Lord a new song; Sing to the Lord, all the earth.

2 Sing to the Lord, bless His name; Tell about His rescue from day to day.

3 Tell His props among the nations, His awesome moves among all the people.

4 Because the Lord is big and super worthy of praise; He is to be feared more than all gods.

5 Because all the gods of the people are worthless idols, But the Lord made the heavens.

6 Honor and majesty are in front of Him; Strength and beauty are in His holy spot.

A Universal Call to Worship

7 Give to the Lord, you families of the people, Give to the Lord honor and strength.

8 Give to the Lord the props of His name; Bring an offering and come into His yards.

9 Bow down to the Lord in the beauty of holiness; Tremble in front of Him, all the earth.

10 Say among the nations, “The Lord is King!” For sure, the world is set up, it will not be shook; He will judge the people fair.

11 Let the heavens be happy, and let the earth cheer; Let the sea and everything in it make noise;

12 Let the field and everything in it celebrate; Then all the trees of the forest will cheer

13 In front of the Lord, because He is coming, because He is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, And the people with His truth.
