Psalms 95
Read Psalms 95 in clear, relatable modern language.
A Call to Worship
1 Come, let us cheer to the Lord; Let us shout out to the rock of our rescue.
2 Let us come into His presence with a thank you; Let us shout out to Him with songs.
3 Because the Lord is a big-time God, And a big-time King over all gods.
4 In His hand are the deep spots of the earth; The tops of the mountains are His too.
5 The sea is His, and He made it, And His hands formed the dry land.
A Warning to the People
6 Come, let us bow down and bend our knees; Let us kneel in front of the Lord our Maker.
7 Because He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture, And the sheep of His hand. Today, if you would listen to His voice,
8 “Do not harden your heart like at Meribah, Like in the day of Massah in the desert,
9 When your dads tested Me; They tried Me, even when they seen My work.
10 For forty years I was disgusted with that generation, And I said, ‘They are a people whose heart is tripping, And they do not get My ways.’
11 So I swore in My anger, ‘They will not get into My rest.’”
