Psalms 90

A Prayer of Moses

1 Lord, You been our home In all generations.

2 Before the mountains were born, Or You made the earth and the world, From forever to forever, You are God.

The Frailty of Man

3 You turn a dude to dust, And say, “Come back, you sons of humans.”

4 Because a thousand years in Your sight are like yesterday when it is gone, And like a watch in the night.

5 You sweep them away like a dream; They are like grass that grows in the morning;

6 In the morning it grows and shines, In the evening it is cut down and dries up.

7 Because we are gone in Your anger, And in Your wrath we are scared.

8 You put our sins in front of You, Our secret ones in the light of Your face.

9 Because all our days are gone in Your wrath; We finish our years like a whisper.

10 The years of our life are seventy years, Or if by strength eighty years; And their pride is just trouble and sorrow, because it is gone fast, and we fly away.

11 Who knows the power of Your anger, And Your wrath is like the fear of You.

A Prayer for God’s Mercy

12 So teach us to count our days, So we can get a wise heart.

13 Come back, Lord; how long, And show some care for Your servants.

14 Fill us in the morning with Your loyal grace, So we can cheer and be happy all our days.

15 Make us happy for the days You hit us, For the years we seen trouble.

16 Let Your work be shown to Your servants, And Your props to their kids.

17 And let the pleasantness of the Lord our God be on us; And set up the work of our hands on us; For sure, set up the work of our hands.
