Psalms 65

A Song of Praise and Thanks

1 Praise waits for You, God, in Zion; And to You the promise will be paid.

2 O You who hear prayer, All flesh will come to You.

3 Sins were too strong for us; You forgive our wrongs.

4 Happy is the dude You choose and bring close to You, So he can live in Your yards! We will be full with the good stuff of Your house, Your holy temple.

God’s Power and Goodness

5 You answer us with awesome stuff in righteousness, O God of our rescue, The hope of all the ends of the earth And of the far-off seas.

6 He is the one who sets up the mountains with His strength, Strapped with power,

7 Who stops the noise of the seas, The noise of their waves, And the wilding of the people.

8 And those who live at the ends of the earth are in awe of Your signs; You make the morning and evening cheer.

9 You visit the earth and water it; You make it super rich; The river of God is full of water. You give them grain, because that is how You planned it.

10 You water its furrows, You smooth its clods; You make it soft with rain; You bless its growth.

11 You crown the year with Your goodness; And Your paths drip fatness.

12 The wilderness pastures drip, And the hills are strapped with joy.

13 The pastures are covered with sheep, The valleys are covered with grain; They shout out and they sing.
