A Prayer from a Distant Land
1 Listen to my cry, God; Pay attention to my prayer.
2 From the ends of the earth I will cry out to You, When my heart is weak. Lead me to the rock that is higher than me.
3 Because You were a safe place for me, A strong tower from the enemy.
4 I will live in Your tent forever; I will run to the shadow of Your wings for safety.
A Plea for the King
5 Because You, God, heard my promises; You gave me the inheritance of those who fear Your name.
6 You will add days to the king’s life; His years will be for all generations.
7 He will sit on the throne in front of God forever; Order loyal grace and truth to protect him.
8 So I will sing praises to Your name forever, So I can pay my promises every day.
