Psalms 56

A Prayer for Trust Despite Fear

1 Show me grace, God, because a dude is chasing me; He is fighting me all day and messing with me.

2 My haters are chasing me all day; because a bunch of people are fighting me with pride.

3 When I am scared, I will trust in You.

4 In God, whose word I praise, In God I trust; I am not scared. What can human flesh do to me, A Cry Against Betrayal

5 All day they twisted my words; All their thoughts are to hurt me.

6 They squad up, they hide out, They watch my steps, because they want to take my life.

7 Because of their wrong, do not let them get away; God, bring down the people in Your anger.

A Declaration of Trust

8 You count my wandering; Put my tears in Your bottle; are they not in Your book,

9 Then my enemies will turn back on the day I call; This I know, that God is for me.

10 In God, whose word I praise, In the Lord, whose word I praise,

11 In God I trust; I am not scared. What can human flesh do to me,

12 I must pay my promises to You, God; I will offer thanks to You.

13 Because You rescued my life from death, My feet from stumbling, So I can walk in front of God in the light of life.
