Psalms 54

A Prayer for Help Against Enemies

1 God, save me by Your name, And judge me by Your strength.

2 God, hear my prayer; Listen to the words of my mouth.

3 Because strangers got up against me, And violent dudes are looking for my life; They do not have God in front of them.

A Declaration of Trust

4 Look, God is my helper; The Lord is the one who holds me up.

5 He will pay back the evil to my haters; Cut them off in Your truth.

6 I will give You a free sacrifice; I will thank Your name, Lord, because it is good.

7 Because He rescued me from all my trouble, And my eye looked at my enemies’ defeat.
