A Prayer Against a Friend’s Betrayal
Happy is the dude who thinks about those that are broken; The Lord is going to rescue him in the day of trouble.
The Lord is going to keep him safe and alive; He will be blessed in the land; You will not hand him over to his enemies’ plan.
The Lord is going to hold him up on his sick bed; You will restore him from his sickness.
A Cry for Healing and Justice
Me, I said, “Lord, show me grace; Heal my soul, because I sinned against You.”
My enemies are talking slick about me: “When is he is going to die and his name disappear?”
And if a dude comes to see me, he talks fake; His heart is gathering up lies; When he goes out, he spills it.
All my haters whisper together about me; They cooking up evil for me:
“Something real messed up got him; And now that he is down, he has never getting back up.”
Even my close homie, who I trusted, Who ate from my plate, He turned on me.
But You, Lord, show me grace and get me up, So I can pay them back.
By this I know You are happy with me: When my enemy is not celebrating over me.
As for me, You held me up because I am straight, And You put me in front of You forever.
Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, From forever to forever. Amen and Amen.
