A Prayer for God’s Justice
I call out to You, Lord, my Rock; Do not be deaf to me. If You quiet on me, I will be like those who go down to the pit.
Listen to my prayer, When I cry out to You, When I lift my hands toward Your holy inner room.
Do not drag me away with the wicked, With the evil-doers, Who talk peace to their neighbors But got evil in their hearts.
Give them what their works deserve, And what their evil moves earned. Give them what their hands made; Pay them back for what they did.
Because they do not pay attention to the Lord’s actions, Or what His hands made, He is going to tear them down and will not build them back up.
A Hymn of Praise
Blessed be the Lord, because He heard my prayer.
The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; So my heart celebrates big-time, And I will thank Him with my song.
The Lord is the strength of His people, And a fortress of rescue for His chosen one.
Save Your people and bless Your inheritance; Be their shepherd and lift them up forever.
