Psalms 148

A Universal Call to Praise

1 Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens; Praise Him in the high places.

2 Praise Him, all you His angels; Praise Him, all you His armies.

3 Praise Him, sun and moon; Praise Him, all you shining stars.

4 Praise Him, you heavens of heavens, And you waters that are above the heavens.

5 Let them praise the name of the Lord, because He commanded, and they were made.

6 He set them up forever; He made a law that they will not break.

7 Praise the Lord from the earth, You sea animals and all the deeps,

8 Fire and hail, snow and smoke, Stormy wind that does His word,

9 Mountains and all hills, Fruit trees and all cedars,

10 Wild animals and all cows, Creeping things and flying birds,

11 Kings of the earth and all people, Princes and all judges of the earth,

12 Young dudes and young ladies, Old and young.

13 Let them praise the name of the Lord, because His name alone is lifted high; His majesty is over earth and heaven.

14 He also lifted the horn of His people, The praise of all His faithful ones, Of the sons of Israel, a people close to Him. Praise the Lord!
