Psalms 124

A Hymn of Deliverance

1 If it had not been the Lord who was for us, Let Israel say it now.

2 If it had not been the Lord who was for us, When dudes got up against us,

3 Then they would have swallowed us alive When their anger got hot against us;

4 Then the waters would have went over us, The stream would have went over our soul;

5 Then the wilding waters Would have went over our soul.

6 Blessed be the Lord, Who did not hand us over as prey for their teeth.

7 Our soul escaped like a bird from the trap of the hunter; The trap was busted, and we escaped.

8 Our help is in the name of the Lord, Who made the heavens and the earth.
