Psalms 11

Trust in the Lord

1 I trust in the Lord. How you are going to tell my soul, “Fly like a bird to your mountain”,

2 Because look, the wicked are bending the bow, Putting their arrows on the string To shoot the straight-up people in the dark.

3 When the foundations are crumbling, What can the righteous do, The Lord’s Righteousness

4 The Lord is in His holy temple; The Lord’s throne is in heaven. His eyes are watching; He is looking at the human race.

5 The Lord tests the righteous, But He hates the wicked and the lover of violence.

6 He is going to rain fire and brimstone on the wicked; A burning wind is their portion.

7 Because the Lord is righteous; He loves justice. The straight-up people will see His face.
