Psalms 108

A Morning Prayer for Victory

1 My heart is set, God; I will sing and make music, even my soul.

2 Wake up, harp and guitar! I will wake up the morning.

3 I will thank You among the people, Lord; I will sing praises to You among the nations.

4 Because Your loyal grace is bigger than the heavens, And Your truth reaches to the clouds.

5 Be lifted high over the heavens, God, And Your props be over all the earth.

A Plea for God’s Help

6 So those who You love can be rescued, Save with Your right hand and answer me!

7 God spoke in His holiness: “I will celebrate; I will split Shechem and measure out the Valley of Succoth.

8 Gilead is Mine, Manasseh is Mine; Ephraim is the helmet for My head; Judah is My scepter.

9 Moab is My washing bowl; On Edom I throw My shoe; I will shout out loud over Philistia.”

10 Who is going to bring me to the fortified city, Who is going to lead me to Edom,

11 Did You not, God, push us away, And You do not go out with our armies, God.

12 Give us help against the enemy, because human rescue is not worth anything.

13 With God we will do awesome things, And He will stomp on our haters.
