Bezalel Builds the Ark of the Covenant
1 Bezalel made the Ark of the Covenant from acacia wood, 3 ¾ feet long, 2 ¼ feet wide, and 2 ¼ feet high.
2 He covered it inside and out with pure gold and put a gold trim around it.
3 He made four gold rings and attached them to its four feet, two on each side.
4 He made poles from acacia wood and covered them with gold.
5 He slid the poles through the rings on the sides of the Ark to carry it.
6 He made the Mercy Seat (the lid) out of pure gold, 3 ¾ feet long and 2 ¼ feet wide.
7 He made two cherubim (angel statues) out of hammered gold and put them on the ends of the Mercy Seat.
8 One cherub on each end, made as one piece with the lid.
9 The cherubim spread their wings upward, covering the Mercy Seat, and faced each other, looking down at it.
Bezalel Builds the Table for the Bread of Presence
10 He made the table from acacia wood, 3 feet long, 1 ½ feet wide, and 2 ¼ feet high.
11 He covered it with pure gold and put a gold trim around it.
12 He made a 3-inch gold border around it with gold trim.
13 He made four gold rings and attached them to the corners of the table’s legs.
14 The rings were placed near the border to hold the carrying poles.
15 He made the poles from acacia wood and covered them with gold to carry the table.
16 He made the plates, dishes, bowls, and pitchers for pouring out offerings, all from pure gold.
Bezalel Builds the Gold Lampstand (Menorah)
17 He made the lampstand from pure hammered gold. The whole thing, base, stem, branches, decorative cups, buds, and flowers, was one piece.
18 It had six branches, three on each side.
19 Each branch had three almond blossom cups with buds and flowers.
20 The center stem had four almond blossom cups with buds and flowers.
21 One bud was under each pair of branches, making six branches total.
22 The whole lampstand was made from one piece of pure gold.
23 He made seven lamps, along with its wick trimmers and trays, from pure gold.
24 The lampstand and all its accessories were made from 75 pounds of pure gold.
Bezalel Builds the Incense Altar
25 He made the incense altar from acacia wood, 1 ½ feet square and 3 feet high, with horns on its corners.
26 He covered it with pure gold, top, sides, and horns, and put a gold trim around it.
27 He made two gold rings for it and attached them below the trim, on opposite sides, to hold the carrying poles.
28 He made the poles from acacia wood and covered them in gold.
Making the Anointing Oil and Incense
29 He also made the holy anointing oil and the special incense, blended just like a perfumer would.
