The Tribe of Issachar

1 Issachar had four sons: Tola, Puah, Jashub, And Shimron.

2 Tola’s sons were: Uzzi, Rephaiah, Jeriel, Jahmai, Ibsam, And Shemuel, all heads of their families. They were mighty warriors and leaders during David’s time. Their clan had 22,600 fighting men.

3 Uzzi’s son was Izrahiah. Izrahiah’s sons were: Michael, Obadiah, Joel, And Isshiah, all five were strong leaders.

4 They had large families and battle squads, 36,000 troops, because they had a lot of wives and kids.

5 Altogether, Issachar’s tribe had 87,000 warriors listed in the family records, all of them battle-ready.

The Tribe of Benjamin

6 Benjamin had three sons: Bela, Becher, And Jediael, three deep.

7 Bela’s sons were: Ezbon, Uzzi, Uzziel, Jerimoth, And Iri, five total. All were warriors, heads of their families. Bela’s clan had 22,034 registered fighters.

8 Becher’s sons were: Zemirah, Joash, Eliezer, Elioenai, Omri, Jeremoth, Abijah, Anathoth, And Alemeth, nine sons in all.

9 Their records showed 20,200 warriors, heads of their households.

10 Jediael’s son was Bilhan. Bilhan’s sons were: Jeush, Benjamin, Ehud, Chenaanah, Zethan, Tarshish, And Ahishahar.

11 All these were warriors, 17,200 strong and ready for battle.

12 The Shuppites and Huppites were from Ir. The Hushites came from Aher.

The Tribe of Naphtali

13 Naphtali’s sons (through Bilhah, Rachel’s maid): Jahziel, Guni, Jezer, And Shallum, descendants of Naphtali.

The Tribe of Manasseh (West Side)

14 Manasseh had a concubine from Aram. She gave birth to: Asriel, And Machir (father of Gilead).

15 Machir took a wife from the Huppites and Shuppites. His sister’s name was Maacah. The second son’s name was Zelophehad, and he had only daughters.

16 Maacah, Machir’s wife, gave birth to a son and named him Peresh. His brother’s name was Sheresh. Sheresh’s sons were: Ulam and Rakem.

17 Ulam’s son was Bedan. All these were from Gilead, son of Machir, son of Manasseh.

18 Hammolecheth, Machir’s sister, had Ishhod, Abiezer, and Mahlah.

19 Shemida had sons too: Ahian, Shechem, Likhi, And Aniam.

The Tribe of Ephraim

20 Ephraim’s sons were: Shuthelah, Bered, Tahath, Eleadah, Tahath again,

21 Zabad, And Shuthelah. But some of Ephraim’s sons were killed by the people of Gath when they tried to raid their livestock.

22 Ephraim mourned for a long time. His family came to comfort him.

23 Afterward, his wife got pregnant again and had a son. He named him Beriah, because of the tragedy that hit their house.

24 His daughter was Sheerah, and she built Upper and Lower Beth-horon and Uzzen-sheerah, she was a real builder.

25 Beriah’s sons were: Rephah, Resheph, Telah, Tahan,

26 Ladan, Ammihud, Elishama,

27 Nun, And Joshua.

28 Their land included: Bethel and surrounding villages, Naaran to the east, Gezer to the west, Shechem and its villages, And Ayyah and its villages.

29 Also: Beth-shean, Taanach, Megiddo, And Dor, all with their towns. These places were where Joseph’s descendants (tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh) lived.

The Tribe of Asher

30 Asher’s sons were: Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi, And Beriah. Their sister was Serah.

31 Beriah’s sons were: Heber and Malchiel (who founded Birzaith).

32 Heber had: Japhlet, Shomer, Hotham, And their sister Shua.

33 Japhlet’s sons were: Pasach, Bimhal, And Ashvath.

34 Shomer’s sons were: Ahi, Rohgah, Hubbah, And Aram.

35 His brother Helem had: Zophah, Imna, Shelesh, And Amal.

36 Zophah had: Suah, Harnepher, Shual, Beri, Imrah,

37 Bezer, Hod, Shamma, Shilshah, Ithran, And Beera.

38 Jether had: Jephunneh, Pispa, And Ara.

39 Ulla had: Arah, Hanniel, And Rizia.

40 All these were from Asher’s tribe, top-tier leaders in their clans. They were mighty warriors, skilled in battle, and respected chiefs. Altogether, 26,000 were listed in their family records, trained and ready to throw down in war.
