The Tribe of Benjamin, Saul’s Family Line

1 Benjamin had five sons: Bela (his firstborn), Ashbel, Aharah, Nohah, And Rapha.

2 (Continued from v.1 above, part of that five-count.)

3 Bela had sons too: Addar, Gera, Abihud,

4 Abishua, Naaman, Ahoah,

5 Gera, Shephuphan, And Huram.

More Family of Benjamin

6 These were the descendants of Ehud, who led the families living in Geba. They got exiled to Manahath.

7 Naaman, Ahijah, and Gera led that exile. Gera was the one who fathered Uzza and Ahihud.

8 Shaharaim had kids in Moab after divorcing his wives Hushim and Baara.

9 With his new wife Hodesh, he had: Jobab, Zibia, Mesha, Malcam,

10 Jeuz, Sakia, And Mirmah. All these were his sons, all heads of family clans.

11 With his wife Hushim, Shaharaim also had: Abitub And Elpaal.

The Line of Elpaal

12 Elpaal’s sons were: Eber, Misham, And Shemed (who built Ono and Lod and the towns around them).

13 Beriah and Shema were leaders of families who lived in Aijalon. They fought against the people of Gath and beat them.

14 Their relatives included: Ahio, Shashak, And Jeremoth.

15 Zebadiah, Arad, and Eder,

16 Michael, Ishpah, and Joha, all sons of Beriah.

17 Zebadiah, Meshullam, Hizki, Heber,

18 Ishmerai, Izliah, and Jobab, all sons of Elpaal.

19 Jakim, Zichri, Zabdi,

20 Elienai, Zillethai, Eliel,

21 Adaiah, Beraiah, and Shimrath, sons of Shimei.

22 Ishpan, Eber, Eliel,

23 Abdon, Zichri, Hanan,

24 Hananiah, Elam, Anthothijah,

25 Iphdeiah, and Penuel, all sons of Shashak.

26 Shamsherai, Shehariah, Athaliah,

They Lived in Jerusalem

28 These men were heads of their families. They lived in Jerusalem and had strong family lines.

Saul’s Bloodline, Benjamin’s Crown

29 Jeiel (father of Gibeon) lived in Gibeon. His wife’s name was Maacah.

30 His firstborn was Abdon, then Zur, Kish, Baal, Nadab,

31 Gedor, Ahio, and Zecher.

32 Mikloth was the father of Shimeah. They also lived close to their relatives in Jerusalem.

King Saul’s Line

33 Ner was the father of Kish. Kish was the father of Saul. Saul’s sons were: Jonathan, Malchi-shua, Abinadab, And Eshbaal.

34 Jonathan’s son was Merib-baal (also called Mephibosheth). Merib-baal had a son named Micah.

35 Micah had: Pithon, Melech, Tarea, And Ahaz.

36 Ahaz had Jehoaddah. Jehoaddah had: Alemeth, Azmaveth, And Zimri. Zimri had Moza.

37 Moza had: Binea, Then: Raphah, Eleasah, Azel.

38 Azel had six sons: Azrikam, Bocheru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, And Hanan. These were the sons of Azel.

39 His brother Eshek had three sons: Ulam (firstborn), Jeush (second), Eliphelet (third).

40 Ulam’s sons were mighty warriors and skilled with bows. They had many sons and grandsons, 150 total. These were all part of the tribe of Benjamin.
