Revelation 19

The King of Kings Wins

1 After this, I heard what sounded like a massive crowd in heaven shouting, “Hallelujah! Salvation, glory, and power belong to our God.”

2 “His judgments are true and just. He judged the great prostitute who corrupted the earth and avenged His servants’ blood.”

3 Again they shouted, “Hallelujah! Her smoke rises forever and ever.”

4 The twenty-four elders and four living beings bowed before God on the throne, saying, “Amen! Hallelujah!”

5 Then a voice from the throne said, “Praise our God, all His servants, everyone who honors Him, small and great.”

6 I heard something like a vast crowd, roaring waters, and mighty thunder saying, “Hallelujah! The Lord our God Almighty reigns!”

7 “Let us celebrate, rejoice, and give Him glory, because the Lamb’s wedding has come and His bride has prepared herself.”

8 She was given bright, clean linen to wear, and that linen represents the righteous actions of God’s people.

9 The angel told me, “Write this: Blessed are those invited to the Lamb’s wedding supper.” Then he added, “These are God’s true words.”

10 I fell at his feet to worship him, but he said, “Do not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and everyone holding Jesus’ testimony. Worship God. The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

11 Then I saw heaven standing open. A white horse appeared, and its Rider is called Faithful and True. He judges and wages war with justice.

12 His eyes burn like fire, and many crowns rest on His head. He carries a name nobody knows except Himself.

13 He wears a robe dipped in blood, and His name is the Word of God.

14 Heaven’s armies followed Him on white horses, dressed in clean white linen.

15 A sharp sword comes from His mouth to strike the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod and tread the winepress of God Almighty’s fierce wrath.

16 On His robe and thigh is written: “King of kings and Lord of lords.”

17 Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, shouting to every bird flying overhead, “Come gather for God’s great supper.”

18 “Come eat the flesh of kings, commanders, mighty warriors, horses and riders, and every kind of person, free and enslaved, small and great.”

19 I saw the beast, the earth’s kings, and their armies gathered to wage war against the Rider and His army.

20 The beast was captured along with the false prophet who performed deceptive signs and tricked everyone accepting the beast’s mark and worshiping its image. Both were thrown alive into the lake of fire burning with sulfur.

21 The rest were defeated by the sword coming from the Rider’s mouth, and the birds ate until they were full.
