Psalms 92
Read Psalms 92 in clear, relatable modern language.
A Song of Praise
1 It is a good thing to thank the Lord, And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High,
2 To tell about Your loyal grace in the morning, And Your truth at night,
3 On a ten-string guitar and on a harp, With a wise song on the guitar.
A Declaration of God’s Works
4 Because You made me happy, Lord, with Your work; I will cheer about the works of Your hands.
5 How big-time are Your works, Lord! Your thoughts are super deep.
6 A clueless dude do not know, And a fool do not get this:
7 That when the wicked pop up like grass, And all the evil-doers shine, It is so they can be wiped out forever.
8 But You, Lord, are lifted high forever.
9 Because look, Your enemies, Lord, Look, Your enemies will be gone; All the evil-doers will be scattered.
The Victory of the Righteous
10 But You lifted my horn like a wild ox; I was poured with fresh oil.
11 My eye looked at my haters; My ear heard about the evil-doers who got up against me.
12 The righteous will shine like a palm tree; He will grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
13 Those who are planted in the house of the Lord Will grow in the yards of our God.
14 They will still drop fruit in old age; They will be fresh and green,
15 To show that the Lord is straight; He is my rock, and there is no wrong in Him.
