A Song of Thanks
We thank You, God, we thank You, because Your name is close, Your awesome moves are talked about.
“When I pick the time, I will judge fair.”
The earth and everyone in it got loose; I set up its pillars.
I said to the proud, “Do not act so proud?” And to the wicked, “Do not lift your horn;
Do not lift your horn high, Do not talk with a stiff neck.
A Declaration of God’s Judgment
Because neither from the east nor from the west, Nor from the desert comes being lifted high.
But God is the judge; He brings one down, and He lifts another up.
Because a cup is in the hand of the Lord, And the wine is foamy, full of mixed stuff; He pours out from it; For sure, all the wicked of the earth will drink it, They will suck its dregs.
But me, I will tell about it forever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
And I will cut off all the horns of the wicked, But the horns of the righteous will be lifted high.
