Psalms 46

God, Our Safe Spot

1 God is our safe spot and our strength, A ready help in times of trouble.

2 So we are not scared, even if the earth shakes, And the mountains fall into the heart of the sea.

3 Even if its waters roar and get twisted, Even if the mountains shake with its pride.

4 There is a river whose streams make the city of God happy, The holy spot where the Most High lives.

5 God is in the middle of her; she is not going to be shook; God will help her when the morning comes.

The Lord of Armies

6 The nations wilding, the kingdoms are shaking; He lifted His voice, the earth melts.

7 The Lord of armies is with us; The God of Jacob is our fortress.

8 Come see the work of the Lord, Who did awesome things on the earth.

9 He stops wars to the ends of the world; He breaks the bow and smashes the spear; He burns the chariots with fire.

10 “Chill out, and know that I am God; I will be lifted high among the nations, I will be lifted high on the earth.”

11 The Lord of armies is with us; The God of Jacob is our fortress.
