A Royal Wedding Song

1 My heart is cooking up a good word; I am talking about a king, my song is for the King. My tongue is the pen of a quick writer.

2 You are the most handsome of humans; Grace is poured out on Your lips; So God blessed You forever.

3 Strap on Your sword on Your side, O Mighty One, Your props and Your majesty.

4 And with Your majesty, roll out and be successful For the truth and for what is humble and right, And may Your right hand show You awesome stuff.

5 Your arrows are sharp; The people fall under You; They hit the hearts of the King’s enemies.

6 Your throne, God, is forever; A scepter of what is right is the scepter of Your kingdom.

7 You love what is right and hate what is wrong; So God, Your God, anointed You with oil of happiness more than Your homies.

8 All Your clothes smell like myrrh, aloes, and cassia; From ivory palaces, strings make You happy.

9 Daughters of kings are among Your honored women; At Your right hand is the Queen in gold from Ophir.

A Message to the Queen

10 Listen, daughter, pay attention, and bend your ear: Forget your people and your dad’s house.

11 Then the King will want your beauty; because He is your Lord, bow down to Him.

12 And the daughter of Tyre will come with a gift; The richest people will beg for your favor.

The Future of the Kingdom

13 The King’s daughter is all glory inside; Her clothes are woven with gold.

14 She will be brought to the King in stitched clothes; The young ladies, her friends who follow her, will be brought to You.

15 They will be brought with joy and celebrating; They will go into the King’s palace.

16 Instead of your dads, your sons will be; You will make them rulers all over the earth.

17 I will make Your name known for all generations; So the people will praise You forever.
