Psalms 4

A Prayer for God’s Mercy

1 Listen, God, when I holler, answer me! You the one who puts me right. When I was in a tight spot, You gave me room. Show me grace, man, and listen to my prayer.

2 You dudes, how long are you going to disrespect my honor, How long are you going to love empty stuff, Chasing after lies,

3 You all need to know the Lord set apart the righteous for Himself. When I call out to Him, He listens.

4 When you mad, do not trip out. Think on it when you are in bed, and chill.

5 Bring the right offerings, And put your trust in the Lord.

6 A lot of people say, “Who is going to show us something good?” Lord, let Your light shine on us.

7 You put more joy in my heart Than they get from a fat harvest of grain and new wine.

8 I will lay down and sleep in peace, because only You, Lord, let me rest easy.
