A Prayer for Peace
In my trouble I cried out to the Lord, And He answered me.
Lord, save my soul from lying lips And from a two-faced tongue.
What can be given to you, and what can be done to you, You fake tongue,
A warrior’s sharp arrows, With burning coals of broom.
It is messed up for me, because I am a stranger in Meshech, because I live in the tents of Kedar.
My soul been living way too long With those who hate peace.
I am for peace, But when I talk, they are for war.
