Proverbs 3

Trust in the Lord

1 My son, do not forget my teaching; keep my commands close to heart.

2 They add long life, peace, and blessings to your days.

3 Do not let loyalty and truth bounce, wear them like a chain around your neck, tattoo them on your heart.

4 Then you are going to win favor with God and man on the block.

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not lean on your own street smarts.

6 Acknowledge Him in all your moves, He is going to straighten your path.

7 Do not play yourself thinking you wise; fear the Lord, dodge evil.

8 That is health for your body, strength for your bones.

Honor the Lord with Your Wealth

9 Honor the Lord with your hustle and the first cut of your profit.

10 Then your barns going to overflow, your drinks going to stay pouring.

The Discipline of the Lord

11 Do not front when the Lord checks you, do not hate when He disciplines you.

12 Because the Lord corrects the ones He loves, like a father with his favorite son.

Blessed Is the One Who Finds Wisdom

13 Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, the one stacking up understanding.

14 She worth more than silver, better returns than gold.

15 More precious than diamonds, nothing you crave compares.

16 Long life in her right hand, riches and honor in her left.

17 Her paths smooth, her streets peaceful.

18 She is a tree of life for those who grab her, blessed are the ones who lock her down.

19 The Lord built the earth with wisdom, set the skies with understanding.

20 By His knowledge, the oceans split, clouds drop rain.

21 Son, do not lose sight of this wisdom and insight, guard them tight.

22 They life for your soul, swag for your neck.

23 Then you are going to walk safe, no tripping.

24 You are going to lay down, no fear; your sleep is going to be sweet.

25 No panic when sudden fear hits, or when the wicked storm through.

26 Because the Lord going to be your confidence, keep your foot from the trap.

27 Do not hold back good when it is in your power to do it.

28 Do not tell your neighbor “come back later” when you got it now.

29 Do not plot dirt against your neighbor when he trust you.

30 Do not start beef with any cause if he has not done you wrong.

31 Do not envy the violent man, do not copy his ways.

32 For the crooked is detestable to the Lord, but He lets the upright in on His secrets.

33 The curse of the Lord hits the wicked’s house, but He blesses the crib of the righteous.

34 He clown the mockers, but He gives grace to the humble.

35 The wise going to inherit glory, but fools, Shame is they crown.
