Matthew 7

Wrapping Up the Sermon on the Mount

1 “Do not be out here judging people, or God will judge you the same way.”

2 “The standard you use for others is the one God will use for you.”

3 “Why you worried about the speck in someone else’s eye when you got a whole log in yours?”

4 “How you are going to say, ‘Let me fix your eye,’ when you cannot even see past your own mess?”

5 “First handle your own business, then you can help your brother out.”

6 “Do not give holy stuff to dogs or toss pearls to pigs. They will trample them and turn on you.”

7 “Ask, and you will get it. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will open.”

8 “Everyone who asks gets. Everyone who seeks finds. Everyone who knocks, it is opened for them.”

9 “If your kid asks for bread, you are not giving him a rock, right?”

10 “Or if they ask for fish, you are not handing them a snake.”

11 “So if you all, who are sinful, know how to give good gifts, imagine what your heavenly Father will give to those who ask!”

12 “Treat others how you want them to treat you. That is the Law and the Prophets in one line.”

13 “Take the narrow road, it leads to life. The wide road, That is destruction, and a lot of folks are on it.”

14 “The narrow road is not easy, but it leads to life, and only a few find it.”

15 “Watch out for fake prophets, they look like sheep but are really wolves.”

16 “You will know them by their fruit. Bad trees do not give good fruit.”

17 “A good tree makes good fruit; a bad tree makes bad fruit.”

18 “A good tree cannot make bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot make good fruit.”

19 “Trees that does not produce good fruit get chopped down and tossed in the fire.”

20 “So you will know people by the fruit they produce.”

21 “Not everyone who says ‘Lord, Lord’ will enter God’s kingdom, only the ones who do the Father’s will.”

22 “On judgment day, people will say, ‘We did miracles in Your name!’ But I will say.

23 ‘I never knew you all. Get outta here with that evil stuff.’”

24 “Whoever hears My words and does them is like a wise man building his house on rock.”

25 “Rain came, rivers rose, winds hit, but that house stood strong because it was on solid rock.”

26 “But whoever hears My words and ignores them is like a fool building his house on sand.”

27 “When the rain, rivers, and wind came, that house crashed hard.”

28 When Jesus finished, the crowd was shook by His teaching.

29 He taught with real authority, not like the teachers of the law.
