Kingdom Living
1 “Do not do good deeds to flex. If you do, you will not get any reward from God.”
2 “When you give, do not announce it like hypocrites, they want attention. That is all the reward they will get.”
3 “Give in secret, and God will reward you.”
4 “When you pray, do not be like hypocrites, showing off in public.”
5 “Pray in private, and God will reward you.”
6 “Do not babble in prayer like pagans. God already knows what you need.”
7 “This is how you pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, Your name is holy.’
8 ‘Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.’
9 ‘Give us today our daily bread.’
10 ‘Forgive our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.’
11 ‘Do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.’”
12 “If you forgive, God will forgive you. If you do not, He will not.”
13 “When you fast, do not look miserable like hypocrites.”
14 “Fast in private, and God will reward you.”
15 “Do not stack treasure on earth where it can get stolen or decay. Stack treasure in heaven.”
16 “You cannot serve God and money.”
17 “Do not worry about food, drink, or clothes. God has got you.”
18 “Seek His kingdom first, and He will take care of your needs.”
19 “Do not stress about tomorrow. Each day has got enough trouble of its own.”
20 “Stack up treasure in heaven, where nothing rots, nothing gets eaten up, and nobody can break in and steal.”
21 “Where your treasure sits, your heart is going to sit right there too.”
22 “Your eye is the lamp for your whole body. If your eye stays clean, your whole life stays lit.”
23 “But if your eye stays messed up, your whole life stays dark. And if what you call ‘light’ in you is really darkness, man, that darkness is deep.”
24 “Nobody is able to serve two masters. You will hate one and love the other, or cling to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.”
25 “That is why I am telling you, stop tripping about your life: what you will eat, what you will drink, or what you will wear. Life is bigger than food, and your body bigger than clothes.”
26 “Look at the birds. They do not plant, they do not harvest, they do not stock up, but your Father feeds them. You worth way more than birds.”
27 “Which one of you all can add even one hour to your life just by worrying?”
28 “And why are you stressing about clothes, Look at the wildflowers, how they grow. They do not grind or spin thread.”
29 “But I am telling you, even Solomon with all his drip was not dressed like one of them.”
30 “If God clothes grass like that, here today, gone tomorrow, will He not clothe you too, You gotlittle faith.”
31 “So do not be running your mouth like, ‘What are we going to eat?’ ‘What are we going to drink?’ ‘What are we going to wear?’”
32 “That is what folks who do not know God chase. Your heavenly Father already knows you need all that.”
33 “But make His kingdom first and live right, then all that other stuff will be added to you.”
34 “So do not stress tomorrow. Tomorrow got its own worries. Each day got enough trouble by itself.”
