Jesus Prays for Glory and Eternal Life
Jesus lifted His eyes to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son so the Son can glorify You,
just like You gave Him authority over all flesh, so He may give eternal life to everyone You have given Him.
And this is eternal life, that they know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You sent.”
“I glorified You on the earth by finishing the work You gave Me to do.
Now, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory I had with You before the world existed.”
Jesus Prays for His Disciples
“I revealed Your name to the men You gave Me out of the world. They were Yours, and You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.
Now they know everything You gave Me comes from You,
because the words You gave Me I have given to them, and they received them and truly understood that I came from You, and they believed that You sent Me.”
“I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world right now, but for those You have given Me, because they are Yours.
Everything that is Mine is Yours, and Yours is Mine, and I have been glorified in them.”
“I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, the name You have given Me, so they may be one just like We are.
While I was with them, I was keeping them in Your name. I guarded them, and not one of them perished except the son of destruction, so the Scripture would be fulfilled.”
“But now I am coming to You, and I speak these things in the world so they may have My joy made full in themselves.
I have given them Your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just like I am not of the world.”
“I am not asking You to take them out of the world, but to protect them from the evil one.
They are not of the world, just like I am not of the world.
Sanctify them in the truth, Your word is truth.”
“Just like You sent Me into the world, I also sent them into the world.
For their sake I sanctify Myself, so they themselves may also be sanctified in truth.”
Jesus Prays for All Believers
“I am not praying for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word,
so they may all be one, just like You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so the world may believe that You sent Me.”
“The glory You gave Me I have given to them, so they may be one just like We are one,
I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them just like You loved Me.”
“Father, I want those You have given Me to be with Me where I am, so they may see My glory that You have given Me, because You loved Me before the foundation of the world.”
“Righteous Father, even though the world does not know You, I know You, and these know that You sent Me.
I made Your name known to them, and will continue to make it known, so the love You have for Me may be in them, and I in them.”
