Ezekiel 25

Judgment on the Nations

Against Ammon

1 The word of the LORD came to me, saying,

2 “Son of man, turn your face toward the sons of Ammon and prophesy against them.

3 Say to the sons of Ammon, ‘Hear the word of the Lord GOD. This is what the Lord GOD says: Because you said, “Aha!” against My sanctuary when it was profaned, against the land of Israel when it was laid waste, and against the house of Judah when they went into exile,

4 therefore I am about to hand you over to the people of the east as a possession. They will set up their camps among you and pitch their tents in you. They will eat your fruit and drink your milk.

5 I will make Rabbah a pasture for camels and the land of the sons of Ammon a resting place for flocks. Then you will know that I am the LORD.

6 For this is what the Lord GOD says: Because you clapped your hands, stamped your feet, and rejoiced with all the hatred in your heart against the land of Israel,

7 therefore look, I will stretch out My hand against you and give you as plunder to the nations. I will cut you off from the peoples and wipe you out from the lands. I will destroy you. Then you will know that I am the LORD.

Against Moab

8 This is what the Lord GOD says: “Because Moab and Seir said, ‘Look, the house of Judah is just like all the other nations,’

9 therefore I am about to expose Moab’s flank, including the cities on its border, the glory of the land, Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon, and Kiriathaim.

10 I will give it to the people of the east along with the sons of Ammon, so the sons of Ammon will no longer be remembered among the nations.

11 I will carry out judgments against Moab. Then they will know that I am the LORD.

Against Edom

12 This is what the Lord GOD says: “Because Edom acted vengefully against the house of Judah and piled up guilt by taking revenge on them,

13 therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: I will stretch out My hand against Edom and cut off both people and animals from it. I will make it a ruin from Teman to Dedan; they will fall by the sword.

14 I will carry out My vengeance on Edom by the hand of My people Israel. They will deal with Edom according to My anger and My wrath. They will know My vengeance,” declares the Lord GOD.

Against Philistia

15 This is what the Lord GOD says: “Because the Philistines acted in revenge and took vengeance with spite in their souls to destroy with ancient hatred,

16 therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: Look, I am stretching out My hand against the Philistines. I will cut off the Cherethites and wipe out the remnant of the seacoast.

17 I will carry out great vengeance on them with furious rebukes. Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I lay My vengeance on them.”
