Mordecai’s Greatness

1 King Ahasuerus imposed a tax across the whole kingdom, from the mainland all the way to the distant islands.

2 Everything about his power, strength, and the full account of how he promoted Mordecai, making him great, is written in the official records of the kings of Media and Persia.

3 Mordecai the Jew was second in command to King Ahasuerus, highly respected among the Jews, and loved by the crowds of his people. He worked for the good of his people and spoke up for the welfare of all the Jews.
