Deuteronomy 30

When You Come Back to God, He Will Come Through for You

1 When all this happens, the blessings and the curses I laid out, And you wake up in whatever country you ended up in, And you start thinking about how you got here…

2 …and you come back to the Lord, for real this time, You and your kids, with all your heart and soul, and start keeping His Word…

3 God is going to flip it. He will show mercy, bring you back, And gather you from wherever He scattered you.

4 Even if you got exiled to the far ends of the earth, God is going to come get you and bring you home.

5 He will take you back to the land your ancestors had, And you will live good, better than before.

6 God is going to do heart surgery on you and your kids, Cut away all the mess so you can love Him for real and live.

Enemies Get Dealt with, You Get Blessed

7 All the curses that hit you, God is going to toss those on your enemies, the ones who hated on you.

8 But you, You are going to get back on track, Obey God, walk in His ways, and do what He said.

9 And God is going to bless you heavy, Your work, your kids, your animals, your land, all of it is going to flourish.

10 But only if you listen to the Lord, keep His commands, And go all in with heart and soul.

The Word Is Not Far, It Is Right Here

11 This command I am giving you today, It is not too hard, and it is not outta reach.

12 It is not up in the sky like, “Who going to go up there and bring it down for us?”

13 It is not across the ocean like, “Who going to cross the sea and bring it back?”

14 It is right here, in your mouth and in your heart, so you can live it.

Life and Death, You Choose

15 Look, today I am putting a choice in front of you: Life and good, or death and evil.

16 If you obey God, walk in His ways, and keep His commands, He is going to bless you and multiply you in the land you are about to enter.

17 But if your heart turns, and you do not listen, If you get pulled off track and start worshiping other gods…

18 Then know this: you are going to be cut off quick. You will not last long in the land you are about to enter.

19 I call heaven and earth as witnesses today: I am putting life and death, blessing and curse in front of you. Choose life, so you and your kids can live.

20 Love God, listen to His voice, hold on to Him tight. That is your real life right there. He is the One who gave you this land, Just like He promised Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
