Prayer and Work
Pray for us, fam, so God’s Word spreads and gets respect, just like it did with you all.
Pray we get saved from shady and evil folks, because not everybody has faith.
But the Lord is faithful, He will strengthen you and keep you safe from evil.
We are confident in the Lord that you are doing and will keep doing what we taught you.
May the Lord guide your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.
We command you all in Jesus’ name to stay away from any believer who is lazy and not living according to the teachings we gave.
You all know how to follow our example. We were not lazy when we were with you.
We worked hard day and night so we would not be a burden to anyone.
We had the right to ask for help, but we wanted to set an example for you all.
We told you straight up: if someone will not work, they should not eat.
We hear some folks are out here lazy, meddling in other people’s business instead of handling theirs.
We command and encourage them in the Lord Jesus to settle down and work for their bread.
You all, do not get tired of doing what is right.
If someone ignores this teaching, note them, do not associate with them, so they will feel the weight.
But do not treat them like an enemy, warn them like family.
Final Blessing
May the Lord of peace Himself give you all peace at all times and in every way.
I, Paul, am writing this goodbye with my own hand, it is how I sign all my letters.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
