Faith and Example of the Thessalonians

1 This is Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy writing to the church in Thessalonica, the fam in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace and peace to you all.

2 We always thank God for you and mention you all in our prayers.

3 We remember how your faith works hard, your love keeps grinding, and your hope in Jesus stays strong in front of God our Father.

4 We know God chose you all, fam.

5 The gospel did not just come to you in words, it came with power, the Holy Spirit, and full conviction. You saw how we lived when we were with you, doing our thing for your sake.

6 You all followed our example and the Lord’s. Even though you caught heat, you welcomed the message with joy from the Holy Spirit.

7 Now, you are an example to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia.

8 The Lord’s message rang out from you all, not just in Macedonia and Achaia but everywhere. People know about your faith in God, so we do not even have to say anything.

9 They are talking about how you turned from idols to serve the true and living God.

10 And you all are waiting for His Son, Jesus, who was raised from the dead and rescues us from God’s wrath that is coming.
