Leadership and Standing Strong

To the elders: I am one of you all, a witness of Jesus’ suffering and a partaker in the glory that is coming.

Take care of God’s people. Watch over them, not because you have to, but because you want to, and not for money, but out of love.

Do not lord it over people, but be examples to them.

When the Chief Shepherd shows up, you will get a crown of glory that will not fade.

You younger folks, listen to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves in humility toward each other, because “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”

Humble yourselves under God’s hand, and He will lift you up at the right time.

Throw all your worries on Him, because He cares for you.

Stay woke and watch out! The devil’s prowling around like a lion, looking for someone to devour.

Resist him by staying strong in your faith. Remember, your fam around the world is going through the same struggles.

After you have suffered for a little while, God, who called you to eternal glory, will restore, strengthen, and set you up solid.

All power belongs to Him forever. Amen.

I am sending this through Silvanus, who I trust. This letter is to encourage you and remind you of God’s true grace. Stand firm in it.

The church in Babylon and my boy Mark send their love.

Give each other a kiss of peace. Love and peace to all of you in Jesus.
