Psalms 101

A Vow of Integrity

1 I will sing about loyal grace and justice; To You, Lord, I will make music.

2 I will pay attention to the straight-up way; When will You get to me, I will walk in my house with a clean heart.

3 I will not put anything worthless in front of my eyes; I hate the work of those who turn away; It will not get close to me.

4 A two-faced heart will get far from me; I will not know evil.

5 I will cut off the one who secretly talks bad about his neighbor; I will not take the one who has proud eyes and a puffed-up heart.

A Final Word

6 My eyes are on the faithful of the land, So they can live with me; The dude who walks in the straight-up way, He will serve me.

7 The one who does tricks will not live in my house; The one who talks lies will not stand in front of my eyes.

8 Every morning I will wipe out all the wicked of the land, To cut off all the evil-doers from the city of the Lord.
