Philippians 4

Exhortations

1 Listen, my dear family, the ones I love and cannot wait to see, you are my joy and my crown. Stay strong in the Lord, you all.

2 I am begging Euodia and Syntyche: get on the same page in the Lord.

3 And to you, my loyal friend, help these ladies out. They worked with me in spreading the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my crew, whose names are written in the Book of Life.

4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Let me say it again: Rejoice!

5 Let everyone see how chill and gentle you are. The Lord is near.

6 Do not trip about anything. Instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank Him for what He has already done.

7 And the peace of God, which goes beyond all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, fam, focus on what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, if it is excellent or praiseworthy, think about those things.

9 Whatever you have learned, received, heard, or seen in me, put it into practice, and the God of peace will be with you.

Thanks for Their Gifts and Final Greetings

10 I am hyped in the Lord because you all showed love and concern for me again. I know you always cared but did not have the chance to show it.

11 I am not saying this because I am needy. I have learned how to be content no matter the situation.

12 I know how to live when I got plenty and when I got nothing. I have learned the secret to being content in any situation, whether I am well-fed or hungry, living large or struggling.

13 I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

14 Still, I appreciate you all for looking out for me in my troubles.

15 You know, Philippians, when I first started spreading the gospel, you all were the only ones who partnered with me financially.

16 Even when I was in Thessalonica, you all sent me help more than once.

17 It is not about wanting your money, I want to see the blessings pile up in your account.

18 I got everything I need now. Your gift, sent through Epaphroditus, is like a sweet-smelling sacrifice that pleases God.

19 And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus.

20 To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.

21 Say what is up to all God’s people in Christ Jesus. The brothers and sisters with me send their greetings.

22 All God’s people here, especially those in Caesar’s household, send their love.

23 May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
