The Leaders Bring Their Gifts

1 When Moses finished setting up the Tabernacle, he anointed it and made everything holy, the furniture, the altar, and all the tools.

2 The leaders of Israel, the heads of their tribes, the same ones who helped count the people, came forward with their offerings.

3 They brought six covered wagons and twelve oxen. Each pair of leaders brought one wagon, and each leader brought one ox. They presented them in front of the Tabernacle.

4 The Lord told Moses.

5 Take the gifts from them and use them for the work of the Tabernacle. Give them to the Levites based on their duties.

6 Moses took the wagons and oxen and gave them to the Levites.

7 He gave the Gershonites two wagons and four oxen because of their responsibilities.

8 He gave the Merarites four wagons and eight oxen since they had more to carry. They were under Ithamar, son of Aaron.

9 But he did not give any to the Kohathites because their job was to carry the holy things on their shoulders.

Each Leader Brings Their Offering

10 The leaders brought offerings for the dedication of the altar when it was anointed.

11 The Lord told Moses, each leader must bring their offering on a separate day for the dedication of the altar.

Day 1: Nahshon from Judah

12 On the first day, Nahshon son of Amminadab from the tribe of Judah brought his offering.

13 His offering was a silver dish weighing 130 shekels and a silver bowl weighing 70 shekels, both filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering.

14 A gold pan weighing 10 shekels filled with incense.

15 A young bull, a ram, and a one-year-old male lamb for a burnt offering.

16 A male goat for a sin offering.

17 Two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five one-year-old male lambs for the peace offering.

Day 2: Nethanel from Issachar

18 On the second day, Nethanel son of Zuar from the tribe of Issachar brought his offering.

19 His offering was a silver dish weighing 130 shekels and a silver bowl weighing 70 shekels, both filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering.

20 A gold pan weighing 10 shekels filled with incense.

21 A young bull, a ram, and a one-year-old male lamb for a burnt offering.

22 A male goat for a sin offering.

23 Two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five one-year-old male lambs for the peace offering.

Day 3: Eliab from Zebulun

24 On the third day, Eliab son of Helon from the tribe of Zebulun brought his offering.

25 His offering was a silver dish weighing 130 shekels and a silver bowl weighing 70 shekels, both filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering.

26 A gold pan weighing 10 shekels filled with incense.

27 A young bull, a ram, and a one-year-old male lamb for a burnt offering.

28 A male goat for a sin offering.

29 Two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five one-year-old male lambs for the peace offering.

Day 4: Elizur from Reuben

30 On the fourth day, Elizur son of Shedeur from the tribe of Reuben brought his offering.

31 His offering was a silver dish weighing 130 shekels and a silver bowl weighing 70 shekels, both filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering.

32 A gold pan weighing 10 shekels filled with incense.

33 A young bull, a ram, and a one-year-old male lamb for a burnt offering.

34 A male goat for a sin offering.

35 Two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five one-year-old male lambs for the peace offering.

Day 5: Shelumiel from Simeon

36 On the fifth day, Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai from the tribe of Simeon brought his offering.

37 His offering was a silver dish weighing 130 shekels and a silver bowl weighing 70 shekels, both filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering.

38 A gold pan weighing 10 shekels filled with incense.

39 A young bull, a ram, and a one-year-old male lamb for a burnt offering.

40 A male goat for a sin offering.

41 Two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five one-year-old male lambs for the peace offering.

Day 6: Eliasaph from Gad

42 On the sixth day, Eliasaph son of Deuel from the tribe of Gad brought his offering.

43 His offering was a silver dish weighing 130 shekels and a silver bowl weighing 70 shekels, both filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering.

44 A gold pan weighing 10 shekels filled with incense.

45 A young bull, a ram, and a one-year-old male lamb for a burnt offering.

46 A male goat for a sin offering.

47 Two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five one-year-old male lambs for the peace offering.

Day 7: Elishama from Ephraim

48 On the seventh day, Elishama son of Ammihud from the tribe of Ephraim brought his offering.

49 His offering was a silver dish weighing 130 shekels and a silver bowl weighing 70 shekels, both filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering.

50 A gold pan weighing 10 shekels filled with incense.

51 A young bull, a ram, and a one-year-old male lamb for a burnt offering.

52 A male goat for a sin offering.

Day 8: Gamaliel from Manasseh

54 On the eighth day, Gamaliel son of Pedahzur from the tribe of Manasseh brought his offering.

55 His offering was a silver dish weighing 130 shekels and a silver bowl weighing 70 shekels, both filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering.

56 A gold pan weighing 10 shekels filled with incense.

Day 9: Abidan from Benjamin

60 On the ninth day, Abidan son of Gideoni from the tribe of Benjamin brought his offering.

Day 10: Ahiezer from Dan

66 On the tenth day, Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai from the tribe of Dan brought his offering.

67 His offering was a silver dish weighing 130 shekels and a silver bowl weighing 70 shekels, both filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering.

Day 11: Pagiel from Asher

72 On the eleventh day, Pagiel son of Ocran from the tribe of Asher brought his offering.

Day 12: Ahira from Naphtali

78 On the twelfth day, Ahira son of Enan from the tribe of Naphtali brought his offering.

79 His offering was a silver dish weighing 130 shekels and a silver bowl weighing 70 shekels, both filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering.

80 A gold pan weighing 10 shekels filled with incense.

81 A young bull, a ram, and a one-year-old male lamb for a burnt offering.

82 A male goat for a sin offering.

83 Two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five one-year-old male lambs for the peace offering.

Total Offerings for the Dedication of the Altar

84 These were the offerings from the leaders of Israel at the dedication of the altar.

85 Each silver dish weighed 130 shekels, and each silver bowl weighed 70 shekels. The total silver given was 2,400 shekels.

86 Each gold pan weighed 10 shekels. The total gold given was 120 shekels.

87 The total number of animals given for burnt offerings was 12 bulls, 12 rams, and 12 one-year-old male lambs, along with grain offerings.

88 The total number of animals given for sin offerings was 12 male goats.

Moses Hears from God

89 When Moses entered the Tabernacle to speak with the Lord, he heard the voice speaking to him from above the atonement cover on the Ark of the Covenant, between the two cherubim. And the Lord spoke to him.
