Hosea 3

Hosea Redeems His Wife

1 The LORD said to me, “Go again and love a woman who has loved by another man and stays unfaithful, just like the LORD loves the people of Israel even though they keep turning to other gods and loving their raisin cakes.”

2 So I bought her back for myself for fifteen pieces of silver and about a bushel and a half of barley.

3 I told her, “You must stay with me a long time. You not running the streets, not sleeping with nobody else, and I will do the same with you.”

4 Because the people of Israel are going to be without a king for a long time, without a leader, without sacrifices, without sacred pillars, without priestly garments or idols.

5 After all that, the people of Israel will come back and seek the LORD their God and David their king. They will come trembling to the LORD and to His goodness in the last days.
