The Bronze Altar
1 ‘Build an altar from acacia wood, 7 ½ feet long, 7 ½ feet wide, and 4 ½ feet high.’
2 ‘Make horns on each of the four corners, one piece with the altar, and cover the whole thing in bronze.’
3 ‘Make bronze buckets to collect the ashes, plus bronze shovels, bowls, meat forks, and firepans.’
4 ‘Make a bronze grating with a metal ring on each of the four corners.’
5 ‘Put it under the ledge halfway down the altar.’
6 ‘Make poles from acacia wood and cover them in bronze.’
7 ‘Slide the poles through the rings so the altar can be carried.’
8 ‘Make the altar hollow, like a box, just like I showed you on the mountain.’
The Courtyard of the Tabernacle
9 ‘For the courtyard, make curtains of fine white linen, 150 feet long, on the south side, hanging from posts.’
10 ‘Use twenty bronze posts and bases, with silver hooks and silver rods to hold the curtains.’
11 ‘The north side should be the same, 150 feet long with twenty bronze posts, bases, and silver hooks and rods.’
12 ‘The west side should be 75 feet long with ten posts and bases.’
13 ‘Same for the east side, 75 feet long.’
14 ‘For the entrance, put a curtain 22 ½ feet long on one side with three posts and bases.’
15 ‘Do the same on the other side, 22 ½ feet of curtain with three posts and bases.’
16 ‘For the main entrance, make a 30-foot-wide curtain from blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, finely woven linen, and embroidered. Hang it on four posts and bases.’
17 ‘All the posts in the courtyard should have silver caps, silver hooks, and bronze bases.’
18 ‘The courtyard should be 150 feet long, 75 feet wide, and 7 ½ feet tall, made from fine linen with bronze bases.’
19 ‘All the tools and pegs for the Tabernacle and courtyard should be made from bronze.’
Oil for the Lampstand
20 ‘Tell the Israelites to bring pure olive oil to keep the lamps burning continuously.’
21 ‘Aaron and his sons must keep the lamps lit in the Tabernacle, outside the curtain that hides the Ark, from evening till morning. This is a law that must be followed forever by all generations.’
